Yes I do. The details of your day are taken from the bridal preparations to the cake and reception. These are designed and included in the album design. I'll be photographing all of the details you spent so much time just getting right.
Do you take family group photographs ?
Yes if you would like me too . A couple of weeks before the wedding we will get together to discuss the timings of your day and go through the Itinerary List and decide which photographs you would like taking including group shots - which are mainly informal. I can tailor my photography to make sure you get the images you would like, from portraits of the bride and groom to relaxed atmospheric shots of your guests, capturing all the special moments of your special day.
The Itinerary List is available upon booking.
Do you travel ?
Weddings up to 25 miles from Congleton, Cheshire are included in the price. Thereafter a nominal charge applies per mile. If overnight accommodation is required this will be charged to you.
Are there two photographers ?
Additional photographers and videographers are available. These are experienced photographers, not assistants and as such there is an additional charge. Please see optional extras pricelist.
How long does it take to get out album and images ?
Images Online / USB are ready to view and collect 21 days after the wedding day if not before. I select the best wedding day images and convert them from Raw files to Jpeg files, edit and enhance to give you the best quality photographs. These images are then uploaded online - password protected - for your guests to view.
Storybooks, Wedding Albums and Frames can take up to 10 weeks after the wedding album design has been agreed and signed off.
Why shoot in Raw format ?
Shooting in the Raw camera format enables me to control the development of the digital files, which will give a better depth of colour and more detail in the blacks and whites. This results in far superior image quality over basic Jpegs and getting the best out of our professional equipment.
We advise not to use any photographers who do not shoot in the camera Raw format.
How many pictures do I get ?
You will receive approximately 350 - over 500 images online and on USB. I take unlimited images on the day.
Do we get to keep the digital files ?
Yes . You will receive the high resolution images on USB flash memory with the reproduction rights so you can print your own photographs. I do retain the copyright to the images and the right to use them for marketing.
Do you offer an engagement shoot or attend the wedding rehearsal ?
Engagement portraits are available as an optional extra.
I do not normally attend the wedding rehearsal as we would have already had a meeting and discussed the timings of the day and the itinerary list. Having shot hundreds of weddings I have a good understanding of the order of the service. I do check with the officiant on the day for any restrictions. If you feel that I need to be there I will attend but an additional charge may be made.
How does the album design process work ?
Once you have selected your main album images, I will design the wedding album / storybook layout and email over the album design PDF for you to check. At this stage you can make as many changes to the layout as you like. Once you approve the design your album / storybook will be ordered. It may take up to 10 weeks before the album / storybook is ready for collection.
If you would like the album / storybook to be posted to you this will be sent by recorded delivery at cost to yourself.
What albums are available ?
I offer handmade leather albums and digitally printed storybooks. You will be able to see examples of the albums when we meet,. There are various styles available.
What is the online gallery ?
The online gallery is a private password protected section on my website where all of your wedding photographs will be placed online for you, your family and friends to view. It is also a secure shopping cart, which allows you and your guests to order prints. Password cards are given out on the day with the website and password details.
Do you have insurance ?
Yes. I have professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
How long have you been in business ? How many weddings have you photographed ?
I have photographed hundreds of weddings and other assignments since I started my business.
Can you pencil in the date for me ?
Yes & No. Wedding bookings are taken on a first come first served basis. Once I have received the booking fee along with the completed booking form the date is secure. I have hundreds of wedding, event and commercial enquiries each year so regretfully I am unable to hold or pencil in dates.
When do we pay ?
A booking fee of £100.00 is due to reserve the date. The balance is due 21 days before the wedding date. If the booking is under thirty days before the wedding the entire amount is payable. Monthly payment plans are available.
If I cancel my wedding. Can I have my booking fee back ?
The booking fee and all monies paid are non-refundable. The booking fee guarantees that we will hold the date exclusively for you and once you have signed the contract I turn down all other weddings and photography work for that date. If the wedding is re-scheduled you will be credited for this amount apart from the booking fee which will have to be paid again to reserve the new date.
If the wedding is cancelled less than 90 days before the date, the full outstanding amount is payable.
What if you cannot make the day due to illness ?
I have a number of professional colleagues who will step in at short notice should I not be able to attend due to illness or injury.
When should we book ?
As soon as you decide that I am the photographer to capture your day, please email to confirm the date and complete the booking form and return along with the booking fee. If you do not book right away you run the risk of losing your date.
If we go over the agreed time, will you stay ?
Yes - but only by an agreed extra charge. If I have another wedding booked the next day it would not be fair that I am shooting into the early hours before their equally special day. Please see the optional extra pricelist for charges. If you over run by a short time 15 - 20 minutes then there is no charge. Payment for the agreed extra time will be made as soon as possible or when you come to collect your images USB memory stick.
Can our family and friends take pictures with their cameras ?
Yes. It's difficult to stop people from taking pictures at the same time. All that I ask is that when I have set up a shot that people don't try and shoot over my shoulder. It's distracting for me and you the bride and groom and sometimes it may mean that I don't get the best possible shots.
Booking a Professional ?
Very few wedding photographers are full time professionals most have other full time jobs and use " weekend weddings " as an extra pay day. Be careful when choosing your photographer. When I am in the office on the monday morning converting your images form Raw files to Jpeg files, editing and enhancing to give you the best quality photographs - the part timer is back at there day job
It takes time and experience to give you the images you deserve.
All the wedding images displayed online and in print are from real weddings.
